Tidy Box is based in west London and was established in 2012 by Philip Brown. The business has seen growth year on year as new clients are looking to increase their brand identity and attract a wider customer base. We are proud that our dedication to hard work and strong design ethics has also seen old clients return as they seek to expand their business and market share.
About the director
Philip graduated from North East Wales Institute (now Glyndŵr University) in 2001 with a BA/Hons. Design: Animation. During his studies interest in concept design and art direction expanded. Focus shifted towards production design in live-action film, and its subsequent influence on artistic styles used in animation. Work in local theatre, in his home town of Nottingham, followed soon after graduation with the opportunity to design and participate in a number of stage productions and events. As understanding of live performance developed so too did the desire to have more creative input during the preproduction and development stage. This evolved with further training in art direction and continued work in art departments across both the arts and media industries.
Before 2004 Philip also spent six years working as a visual merchandiser for a large international retailer. Being on the front line of retail services provided valuable insight into consumer sales, marketing and brand management which continues to influence his work at Tidy Box.
Philip is still actively involved with film/TV productions across the UK. Most recently working as art director on the ITV detective series Vera, due to be released in 2017.
